Lee Medical's island dressing is a self-adhesive dressing
that has an absorbent wound pad located in the center of
a piece of non-woven polyester fabric. The pad is made
of a non-woven polyester fiber coated to give a smooth
surface and render it non-adherent. The polyester
backing makes the product permeable and highly flexible,
allowing it to conform well to body contours. The
dressing is protected by two pieces of overlapping
release film which are easy to remove and allows for an
asceptic application. |

UNIFORMITY AND ECONOMY… Lee Medical Island Dressing is
made of an
elastic, non-absorbent non-woven coated polyacrylate
adhesive. The absorbent
wound pad has a non adherent coating to prevent trauma
during dressing
changes. The dressing area is protected with a release
liner. The dressing
protects the wound from outside contamination and
promotes healing. It also
protects clothing and bed linen from bodily fluids. The
film coating increases
the absorption capacity of the pad. The adhesive has
been designed to be
gentle to the skin but at the same time provide secure
wound protection. The
easy-to-remove and handle release film permits sterile
application, as well as
simplifying dressing application. |
