About Us
Lee Medical was formed in 1983 in New Orleans by a group of local nephrologists with the ideal concept of delivering better medical care to the dialysis community. Initially, Lee Medical was the local supplier to the facilities operated by these physicians, but Lee Medical rapidly expanded into other metropolitan areas and now services customers across the United States.

Once thought of as strictly a dialysis supply company, Lee Medical branched out into the physician’s office market in 1997. This move, while providing new challenges for Lee Medical, also served to vastly expand the product line available to its customers.

Through numerous established international contracts, Lee Medical imports a number of private labeled items and passes along cost savings to its customers. Using these international contacts, Lee Medical expanded again, this time into the consumer market and sells other than medically related items through its subsidiaries, Lee Med Fitness and Best Imports. Lee Medicals strength lies in its custom designed dialysis kits, introduced into the dialysis market in 1984, long before kits were recognized as a definitive means of cost containment. Dialysis kits have always been at the core of Lee Medicals mission to help customers contain costs in a world of diminishing reimbursement.

Lee Medical has recently branched out into the aftercare home market to deliver medical products directly to patients and their families that often have difficulty sourcing the items they need. Everybody talks about customer service, but Lee Medical delivers. Years ago the decision was made not to use voice mail. When a customer calls during regular business hours, they speak to a person that can take an order, answer a question or solve a problem.
