Lee Medical was formed in 1983 in New Orleans by a group
of local nephrologists with the ideal concept of
delivering better medical care to the dialysis
community. Initially, Lee Medical was the local supplier
to the facilities operated by these physicians, but Lee
Medical rapidly grew into other metropolitan areas and
now services customers across the United States.
Once thought of as strictly a dialysis supply company,
Lee Medical also branched out into the Med Surg or
doctors office market in 1997. This move, while opening
up new challenges for Lee Medical also expanded the
product line available to its customers.
With the numerous international contacts available, Lee
Medical imports a number of private labeled items and
passes along cost savings to its customers. Using these
international contacts, Lee Medical was able to expand
again into the consumer market and sells other than
medically related items through its subsidiary, Best

Lee Medicals strength lies in its custom designed
dialysis kits, which we introduced into the dialysis
market in 1984, long before it was fashionable for
dialysis facilities to use kits as a means of cost
containment. Dialysis kits have been the core strength
of Lee Medical to help customers contain costs in a
world of diminishing reimbursement.
Lee Medical has recently branched out into the dental
market as a closely related field that can also benefit
from Lee Medical's experience in providing medical
supplies in a cost containment environment.
Everybody talks about customer service, but Lee Medical
delivers. A long time ago, we decided not to use voice
mail. When a customer calls during regular business
hours, they talk to a warm body that can take an order,
answer a question or solve a problem. Customers are
notified of backorders and suitable substitutions are
offered if available. Our initial concept of “Building
relationships, one customer at a time” has proven itself
to be a worthwhile goal for Lee Medical to constantly
try to achieve. |
